Usually producers give token advance to heroes and get their dates. Then they will go in search of director. Sometimes hero will ask the producer to approach particular director. But with power star Pawan Kalyan he takes the ultimate call about everything! He will finalize the subject first and then fixes the director and finally hands over the project to some 'lucky' producer.
Pawan Kalyan is currently following this pattern and he believes that it is the best way to build a project. Pawan himself decided to remake Dabangg and he called in Harish Shankar to wield the megaphone and later the project was handed over to Bandla Ganesh. Same happened with Panja and Teenmaar.
Pawan's next film too has been fixed in the same style. Pawan and Trivikram finalized the subject and later 'roped in' the producer BVSN Prasad. Pawan is also constantly meeting Kona Venkat and few other writers to finalize the subjects. Kona Venkat said that the director isn't finalized yet for the subject that he is preparing for Pawan. Also he is not keen on signing up star directors unless they approach him with storylines. He is more than happy to work with freshers and directors without star value. This is Pawan's style.
