Vijay met with a minor mishap during the shoot of Thuppakki and has hurt his knee. The shooting has been stalled following the incident. The actor is presently in London to undergo treatment. His part of shooting will resume once he returns.
The actor had also planned to attend the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IIFM), but that is not likely to happen now.
