Sakuni – Political satire to watch out for

Karthi may not have made an impression with Malligadu, but Sakuni presents him a good opportunity to strike back with gusto even better than he did with Na Peru Shiva.  Directed by Shankar Dayal, this political satire is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh in Telugu.
The film is not a routine political thriller where the hero beats up the baddies or dons the role of a politician to teach his villain a lesson. The film has no villains!
“Karthi, after facing tussles in his village, moves to Chennai where certain circumstances lead him to opt for politics. Karthi’s character has negative shades in the film, but in the end, he does it all for the good of the society”, our sources confide.  It was rumoured some months back that his character was loosely based on the real-life personality, the corporate lobbyist Nira Radia.
The film also has Radhika Sarathkumar playing a pivotal role, of a politician again.
With good on-screen chemistry between Karthi and Pranitha, a political satire without villains and Karthi in part grey shades, Sakuni is a promising and explosive venture.
