Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger Tiger co-starring Katrina Kaif is on its way to becoming the biggest Bollywood hit of all times. After creating the record of the highest opening day ever with a Rs 32.92 crore earning last Wednesday, Ek Tha Tiger has now broken all opening weekend records.
The Kabir Khan-directed film has earned a whopping Rs 110 crore over a six-day extended weekend (including Eid, which fell on Monday) since its Independence Day release. Incidentally, Ek Tha Tiger also creates a new record for the fastest Rs 100 crore earning at the boxoffice.
The trade is abuzz with the prediction that Ek Tha Tiger will cross Rs 200 crore in less than a fortnight and could well break the record haul of 3 Idiots, which was Rs 385 crore.
