Ek Tha Tiger banned in Pakistan

Salman Khan's next movie Ek Tha Tiger is gearing up for its release on August 15. The teaser and trailer have already created a major buzz around this Yash Raj production. Added to this is Salman's current boxoffice status as the numero-uno. Directed by Kabir Khan and co-starring Salman's ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Ek Tha Tiger is about the proxy war between the Indian Intelligence Agency RAW and Pakistan's spy agency ISI. Salman is playing a RAW agent in this movie who is sent on a secret mission.

Fearing that this movie would tarnish the reputation of the state owned ISI, all the cable operators in Pakistan have been instructed to abstain from airing the promos and trailers of this Salman starrer. Until the Pakistan censor board sees the movie and gives clearance, Ek Tha Tiger faces a ban in Pakistan.

This ban comes as a blow to both the Pakistani audiences and to the makers of Ek Tha Tiger, given that Pakistan is a good overseas market for Hindi films and particularly Salman's films.
