Bharathiraja is one of the legends of Tamil cinema and now he is all set to go global. The veteran director is planning to remake his thriller, Bommalattam in English. He confirmed that some of his friends in the Hollywood industry have stepped forward to bankroll this venture. Samuel L Jackson will be playing the character originally portrayed by Nana Patekar.
Arjun also had a pivotal role in Bommalattam and it remains to be seen whether he will reprise his role in the English version. Bharathiraja is currently working on Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum and the project has suffered a few setbacks but now shooting is proceeding smoothly. It is only after this film is wrapped up that Bharathiraja will commence work on his English remake.
