Barfi movie hero Ranbir Kapoor is living up to the promise he made to the director of Barfi!, Anurag Basu. It is being reported that during the filming of Barfi! Anurag Basu repeatedly kept advising Ranbir to kick the habit of puffing. The director also supposedly pointed out the harmful effects that smoking will lead to for the young man. During one of those advice sessions Ranbir made a bet with the director saying that if Barfi! grosses 70cr he would give up on the cancer stick.
A recent box office report revealed that the film had reached the 70cr mark and the new Bollywood superstar sent his director an sms admitting coming second in the bet and therefore he will quit smoking with immediate effect. It is good that this young man is leading the way for the new generation by setting a sound example.
