Yuvan to hit century with Biriyani

Yuvan Shankar Raja began his musical career in 1996 scoring for the Sarath Kumar-starrer Aravindan. And now, over 15 years later, the young music director is all set to compose for his 100th film, which interestingly will be directed by his cousin, Venkat Prabhu.

The Yuvan-Venkat combo has delivered chartbusters with all their previous ventures from chennai 600028 to Mankatha. Now, Venkat is all set to direct Karthi in Biriyani and has signed up Yuvan for the film.

“Really proud of my bro and so happy that I am directing his 100th movie Biriyani (sic),” the director tweeted on his micro-blogging page. And, instantly, wishes started pouring in for the diminutive composer from fans and friends from the film industry. One fan even tweeted back to Venkat Prabhu saying, “Tagline should be ‘A Yuvan century’.”
