We don't often see a person of Chiranjeevi's stature touching the feet of someone else. One such rare moment was witnessed by one and all at the CineeMAA Awards during the felicitation of Darsakendrudu Raghavendra Rao with Lifetime Achievement Award.
While sharing his experience working with the Legendary Director, Chiru opined that felicitating Raghavendra Rao is like felicitating Film Industry. Recalling the past incident at the time of Rao's 100th film Gangothri launch, the actor revealed the words he shared with Allu Arjun. Chiru to Bunny - 'You are very lucky to get an opportunity to work in the direction of KRR in your first film itself. For the same opportunity, I had a wait till my 50th film'.
Chiru stated that KRR gave a boost to NTR's career with commercial films like Vetagadu etc., and proved once again that 'NTR Is NTR and no one could match him'.
Saying that KRR has played a crucial role in his journey from Supreme Hero to Megastar, Chiru claimed that he was the hero who acted in more number of films in his direction (crossed NTR-KRR combo record with one film) and feeling proud to say so.
'During the early days of my marriage, I was shooting for KRR's film and my wife Surekha used to accompany me to shootings. After wrapping up the schedule, both of us have planned to return to Chennai by train. After entering my couch, I noticed that it was decorated with full of flowers and fruits, appeared like a honeymoon room. When I enquired what's all that, they said KRR has instructed them to do so. We rarely see a commercial director having a personal touch and KRR is one of those,' reveals Chiru.
On a finishing note, Chiru said 'although KRR's age is 70 - his heart is still 17' and touched the feet of K Raghavendra Rao for giving his life in Film Industry Achievement.
