Actress Vishakha, who shot to fame post her role in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey with Abhishek Bachan and Deepika Padukone, is all set to play the lead in Santhanam’s maiden production. Titled Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaya, the film has him and Power Star Srinivasan in the lead.
We hear that Vishakha is the only heroine in the comedy flick, which started rolling from July 9 in Kumbakonam.
A source tells us, “The film is about three guys and the twist in their fates. Along with Santhanam and Srinivasan, a debutant will also be playing the lead. The film is all about who walks away with Vishakha’s character into the sunset! The first schedule has already begun and the scenes that have been shot till now have turned out to be hilarious.”
Vishakha, who debuted in Kollywood with Pidichirukku, went on to act in Telugu and Kannada films. She has also acted in an ad film with Trisha. The source adds, “Director Manikandan had seen her in one of the ads and called her for an audition.”
We hear that the girl, who is into production with Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, immediately took up the offer because she liked the script.
