KS Ravikumar’s Saamy remake to take off on Aug 15





Ace filmmaker KS Ravikumar is ready to start his first Hindi film, which is a remake of Tamil blockbusterSaamy. The director, who has penned the screenplay, will kick-start the project on August 15.

KS Ravikumar tells that the movie will hit the floors on August 15 and the first schedule of the shooting will be held in Hyderabad followed by the second schedule in Mumbai. The movie features Sanjay Dutt, Prachi Desai and Prakash Raj. He is also trying to rope in Megastar Amitabh Bachchan for the role of Sanjay’s brother in the upcoming film.

While Himesh Reshammiya, who had worked with KS Ravikumar in Kamal Hassan starrer Dasavathaaram, will be scoring the music, Saji-Farhad will be penning the lyrics.
Saamy was a mass-masala film, which tells the story of a tough cop. The movie was directed by Hari and produced by Pushpa Kandasamy. It starred Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Vivek and Kota Srinivasa Rao in the key roles.
