Ace actress turned down Thangar’s film

Thangar Bachchan, who is known for emotional family dramas, is all geared up for his next venture titled Ammavin Kaipesi.

Based on a novel written by him, the movie is centered on a mobile phone that helps connect with people.

While Shanthanoo Bhagyaraj, who is trying his hand at essaying a rural youth role, is the lead protagonist, Iniya plays his love interest.
The film also talks about mother-son bonding. A mother has nine children but she lives in a situation that isolates her from them.
The only way she can be in touch with them and hear their voices is through a mobile phone. She regards her mobile phone to be representative of her children, and becomes possessive about it.
Revathy, who worked as a junior artiste several years ago, is essaying the role of Amma (mother). Thangar says that he approached many veteran actresses, including a multiple national award winner, before signing on Revathy.
“The ace actresses shocked me by demanding a whopping 20 lakhs for ten days of work. I had no choice but to look out for an alternative. I dedicate this film to all the mothers in the world,” says Thangar.
The film also features 75 new faces from different walks of life, who were given proper training before going on board. Rohit Kulkarni debuts as the music composer.
