The heroism of 80’s and 90’s was to follow conventional elements like good fights, love scenes and sentiments. But the success factor today is not any of the above, instead the negativity in the heroes thats bringing the audience to the theatres. The makers are adding this element to their heroes with an intention to bring the flavor of the season to their movies. And 2012 is more of year of such characters.
While Mahesh won accolades for his character in Buisnessman for a negative type of role even Pawan din’t leave a stone unturned in Gabbarsing delivering power packed performance as a bad-good cop . The common factor for both the movies that pulled the crowds to the theatres is the egocentric characters played by the heroes in the movies. Now joining the bandwagon is the stylish star Allu arjun with his movie Julayi which is supposedly having similar shades.
However this is not the first time AlluArjun is experimenting with such a character as Arya 2 has partially potrayed him in a negative role earlier. Even the most awaited Eega movie’s hero eega is also supposedly playing a negative role for some part in the movie.
