Tamannah replaced Hansika





Milky beauty Tamannah has replaced Hansika Motwani in the Telugu remake of ‘Vettai’, starring Sunil and Naga Chaitanya in lead roles.
Earlier it was reported that Hansika and Andrea Jeremiah would reprise the roles of Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy in the Telugu version, but the latest news is that Hansika has been replaced with Tamannaah opposite Naga Chaitanya while Andrea will plays Sunil’s love interest.Tamannaah’s father has confirmed that the actress has signed the project and will begin shooting from October. Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah earlier shared screen space for 100% Love, which was a hit.

Anushka cries





Anushka was shooting with Karthi at Chennai.Anushka has engaged a personal makeup woman and has brought her to the shooting spot of Alex Pandian. However, according to reports, about 30 members of the makeup union from here, barged into the shooting spot and demanded that the personal makeup woman be sent away. Apparently they were agitated that Anushka’s makeup person is not a member of the union. Also according to people present at the spot, they abused Anushka verbally. Anushka was shocked at the treatment meted out to her and cried and went running away from the scene.
However, actor Karthi intervened and spoke to the union members. The shooting resumed only after the makeup woman was sent out from the place.

Charmi doing again with Nagarjuna





Charmi has special liking for Nag and they come together for the third time. She has resurrected her career since Ragada in which she did an item song. Now thisTempting lady Charmee gets ready to shine with King Nagarjuna again. This happens for ‘Damarukam’ the latest socio-fantasy thriller, which bar is to increase the tinsel town. Charmi goes for a re killing her lascivious figure and mind blowing moves on the dance floor for an item number.
The buxom actress says that Nagarjuna has been her lucky charm as she bagged her first hit with his film Mass. Now with Ragada, Charmi started her career all over again. There were rumors in some sections of media that Nagarjuna recommended Charmi to Ram Gopal Varma and Puri Jagannath and hence she bagged Dongala Mutha and Buddaa!
‘Damarukam’ is expected to be a graphic thunder in the lines of ‘Magadheera’ and -‘EEGA.

Kajal Tupaki for 15 Crores





SVR Media got the rights of Telugu version of Vijay, Kajal Agarwal starring Tamil film Thuppakki for a whopping Rs 15 crores. There was intense competition for the Telugu rights with Bellamkonda Suresh, Geetha Films, Suresh Films and Dil Raju in the fray. The Telugu version is likely to be titled Thupaaki.Thuppakki stars Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles while Vidyut Jamwal plays a pivotal role. The music is composed by Harris Jayaraj. Cinematography is by Santosh Sivan,Directed by Murugadoss.
However, Thuppakki has created a positive buzz about it with Gemini Film Circuit buying the distribution rights for a record sum and Vijay TV paying the highest price for telecast rights.The director is on record stating that he is in discussions with akshay kumar to remake Thuppakki in Hindi.Both the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film are being planned for a Diwali release.


Tamil Eega collected 25 Crores





Rajamouli’s Graphical Entertainer ‘Eega’ starring Nani, Samantha and Sudeep , Tamil version released as Naan Ee also raked record collections in Tamil Nadu. As per the trade reports, Eega collected around Rs.25 crores in 50days, which is exceptional for a Telugu movie in Tamil Nadu and no other film has so far reached the mark.
Another interesting thing is that, Naan Ee is in the list of top 10 highest grosser in Tamil for this year so far. PVP Cinema has acquired the rights only for Rs.5 crores and they sold satellite rights for Rs.4 crores, which is also highest for any Telugu dubbed movie in Tamil. Makers of Eega are now planning to release the Hindi version Makki as soon as possible. This Rajamouli’s Makki will imitate top Bollywood stars in the film.

Naresh borrowed title from Chiranjeevi




Sudden star Allari Naresh has utilising the title of Chiranjeevi’s 1980s hit film Yamudi Mogudu for his new film socio- fantasy flick. He made the announcement while with Chiranjeevi fans in Palakollu village recently. “I am glad to borrow the title of the 1980s blockbuster and even his fans are happy about it. We have even remixed Chiranjeevi’s chartbaster Atho Athamma Kuthuro from the film Alluda mazaka. So, it’s kind of a double damaka,” said Naresh.

Ravi Teja playing football




Maas Maharaja Ravi Teja will be essaying the role of a football coach in his forthcoming entertainer’Sar Osthara’. The film directed by Parasuram (Bujji) and produced by Aswini Dutt, has completed its first schedule in Ooty and is now currently being shot in Hyderabad.When we contacted Priyanka Dutt, daughter of Ashwini Dutt, about the same, she confirmed, “Yes, Ravi Teja is playing the role of a football coach and his characterisation will be totally different from his earlier films.” Kajal Aggarwal and Richa Gangopadhyay are playing the female leads in this mass entertainer.
